I began this blog more than a decade ago by inviting students, visitors, and residents to document life in JerUSAlems in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Maryland, Michigan, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Utah, and Vermont. Museums in the 12 states with places called JerUSAlem joined museums throughout the world in a Global Tribute to Rembrandt. See participating museums in USA below and museums worldwide at http://globaltributetorembrandt.blogspot.com.

This five story mill, one of the largest mills in Maryland, was built in 1772 and used as a mill until 1961. It produced flour shipped around the world under the label "White Silk."
